Here’s Why Melissa McCarthy Handed Out Sandwiches at the Golden Globes
Leave it to Melissa McCarthy to not want people around her to go hungry. She’s our new best friend!
Apparently, folks at the Golden Globes are largely served before the evening’s telecasted event in an effort to avoid sounds of clinking cutlery on live TV. Unfortunately, many actors are stranded on the red carpet doing interviews before they make it to dinner.
Thankfully, Melissa decided to hand out sandwiches to folks to keep them from getting hangry. “I’ve been handing them out to everyone,” she told Variety on the carpet. “Next year, I’m bringing hot dogs.”
“How did she get them in here?” actress Jessica Chastain wondered, “But it’s a good idea because by the time you get into the ballroom dinner has already been served, and you’re always so hungry.”
