Hurricane Katrina Victims Are Suing Brad Pitt For Broken Promises

Brad Pitt is not about to let his charity work be questioned.

The actor recently defended himself against critics who claimed he only helped New Orleans residents in the wake of Hurricane Katrina for good publicity.

The declaration comes at the heels of a class-action lawsuit filed by Hurricane victims who argue that Brad and his foundation, Make It Right, promised to build homes that would withstand “hurricane force winds” but instead received houses that won’t last another five years — despite owners being tied to 30-year mortgages.

Brad is now asking the judge that his name be dismissed from the suit.

“While plaintiffs urge in the Opposition that certain generic and innocuous statements Mr. Pitt allegedly made to the press somehow give rise to claims against him individually, this is simply unsupportable,” Brad’s lawyers stated in legal documents obtained by The Blast.

While the actor is demanding to be released from the lawsuit, he’s not asking for his charitable foundation be removed.

Interestingly, sources told Page Six over the summer that he has spent millions of dollars of his own money to fix the problems these houses have made for residents.
