Michelle Obama is friends with George W. Bush, and it’s the cutest thing ever.

The two shared viral moments during the funerals of John McCain and George’s dad, George H.W. Bush, during which he lovingly passed her mints. 

“He has the presence of mind and the sense of humor to bring me a mint,” Michele said of George while on a stop for her book tour in San Jose, Calif., according to ABC7. “And he made it a point to give me that mint right then and there, and that’s the beauty of George Bush.”

Now that’s diplomacy!
