Ivanka Trump Wears A Designer Who Refused To Dress The First Lady

Could this be a coincidence, or is it the worst fashion shade one can possibly do?

Ivanka Trump attended an Argentinian gala last week wearing an ivory pantsuit designed by one of the Trump administration’s biggest and loudest critics in the fashion industry.

Designer Gabriela Hearst has not only refused to dress First Lady Melania Trump, but has spoken out against the president’s immigration policies and his plan to defund Planned Parenthood. But that clearly didn’t stop Ivanka from wearing her clothes.

“If they want to wear the clothes, they can buy the clothes,” Gabriela said of the Trump family to The Wall Street Journal in 2017.

CNN’s Kate Bennett reminded us of Gabriela’s dig in a tweet. Now, the world is wondering two things: Who exactly is styling Ivanka, and did they do this on purpose?

@IvankaTrump is wearing this @gabrielahearst suit. Hearst is a vocal critic of Trump administration policies. Her 2017 collection was actually inspired by female Democrat Senators, including @KamalaHarris @SenDuckworth. Hi, I’m Kate. Here for your fashion q’s. 🙋🏼‍♀️ pic.twitter.com/AA7kfC8LJ0
