Michelle Obama Gives Advice to Meghan Markle

Michelle Obama knows how to make a global impact, which is why she’s giving excellent advice to Meghan Markle.

Michelle spoke about experiencing pressure and media scrutiny in a new interview with Good Housekeeping, which makes her advice for Meghan all the more relevant when speaking of the media frenzy that’s invasively delving into the Duchess’s personal relationship with sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

“Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt that she’d live a life like this, and the pressure you feel — from yourself and others — can sometimes feel like a lot,” Michelle stated. “So my biggest piece of advice would be to take some time and don’t be in a hurry to do anything.”

The former first lady also spoke on the difficult early years she experienced coming into her own as a public figure:

“I spent the first few months in the White House mainly worrying about my daughters, making sure they were off to a good start at school and making new friends before I launched into any more ambitious work. I think it’s okay — it’s good, even — to do that.”
