Gwyneth Paltrow’s Broadway Show Will Close Prematurely After Poor Box Office

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Broadway show set to the music from the Go-Go’s is set to close after struggling at the box office.

Head Over Heels has been dying hardcore while other Broadway shows have been selling like hot cakes. The show itself was Gwyneth’s producing debut on the Great White Way. HOH paired the ‘80s band’s music with a 16th century English prose poem.

Unfortunately, it will be bowing on January 6 after playing 188 regular performances.

Box office stats from the Broadway League reflect that the show, which had an open run, was playing to 46 percent of capacity the week of Thanksgiving, when others were hitting record sales.

Reps for the show say producers might still send it on tour — hopefully they’ll make some of their investment back. (Likely not)
