Melania Trump publicly called for the resignation of deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel. The move is unlike her. 

A statement issued this week by her communications director, Stephanie Grisham, obtained by Bloomberg, reads: “It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that [Ricardel] no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House.”

What the hell is happening? CNN reports that news had been circulating that Mira was being pushed out of the position just seven months after her hiring. She has been a major source of support for the head of the department, John Bolton, but allegedly perpetuated infighting within the administration.

Reportedly, an anonymous White House official said Mira had fought with Melania’s office regarding her recent trip to Africa. The official said Mira protested using National Security Council resources for the trip and then allegedly leaked stories.
