‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Star Henry Golding Is Struggling With Fame
It’s been a hell of a year for sexy Henry Golding, star of Crazy Rich Asians. According to a new interview with GQ, fame hasn’t exactly been the easiest.
“It’s like everybody knows exactly who you are, and the way that they speak to you is different,” he said. “I’ve stayed the same throughout. It’s just people’s perception of you changes.” He added, “So I’m struggling with the fame a bit.”
At the end of the day, however, Henry says he’ll continue to act so long as the work is there. “It’s not as though I’m trying to appease anyone else but myself. A lot of people say, ‘I gotta win my awards.’ I just wanna make great movies,” he said, adding, “There’s another side to me that’s like, ‘I don’t know if I’d be comfortable being Brad Pitt famous.’ You can’t walk anywhere. You can’t live a life.”
