Ruth Bader Ginsburg Is Hospitalized After Fracturing Ribs In Fall

Eighty-five-year-old Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been hospitalized and is now under treatment after fracturing three ribs, according to a statement.

“She went home, but after experiencing discomfort overnight, went to George Washington University Hospital early this morning,” the statement said. “Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment.”

Ruth’s health has been a matter of intense concern, given that she’s one of the court’s four liberal justices. After Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Donald Trump still has time to elect another conservative to the court should Ruth ever need to leave — or pass away.

Ruth is the court’s oldest member. She has survived multiple bouts with cancer, and in 2014 underwent a procedure to have a stent placed in her right coronary artery.
