‘The Voice’ Star Beverly McClellan Died After Battling Cancer

The Voice favorite, Beverly McClellan, wowed audiences on the first season of the NBC show. Now according to The Blast, the 49-year-old died after a long battle with cancer. 

She became a fan favorite after belting out “Piece of My Heart” and became the third runner-up while on Christina Aguilera‘s team. Reportedly, she had been in a hospital in Mexico receiving experimental treatment for stage 3 endometrial cancer, which had spread throughout her body. Then her health took a turn for the worse. 

Her family ultimately transferred her to a California hospital, according to her GoFundMe. She was surrounded by close friends and her wife, Monique, at the time of her passing.
