The Mom Nicole Kidman Played In ‘Boy Erased’ Loved Her Performance: ‘She Got It Right’
Nicole Kidman’s latest performance in Boy Erased is nothing short of heart-wrenching. The mom of a boy who comes out as gay, and ends up going to conversion therapy (at the direction of his father and loving-but-loyal mother).
“Nicole got it right — they all did,” Martha Conley said to Page Six of her performance. Director Joel Edgerton said he hopes parents will see the film “as a road map to how they might be able to make better decisions.”
Boy Erased also stars Lucas Hedges, Russell Crowe, and Troy Sivan. The film opens everywhere November 2.
