Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend Supports Her Political Stance
Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, is supporting his girlfriend after she took a political stance in her home state of Tennessee.
“I think it’s great, I think it’s important,” he told a reporter when asked about Taylor’s social media posts in which she encouraged early voting and endorsed two Democratic candidates.
A couple weeks ago, she broke her silence on politics to back Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives running in Tennessee.
In her lengthy post, she wrote, “I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee. In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now.”
