Roseanne Goes On A Twitter Rant After ‘The Conners’ Premiere
After The Conners premiered last night on ABC, its former star decided to pick up Twitter — again.
Roseanne Barr lashed out in anger almost immediately after the show aired: “I AIN’T DEAD, BITCHES!!!!” she wrote. Her character in the show was killed off after a racist tweet went viral earlier this year.
Producers decided that her character would die of an opioid overdose.

Later on Tuesday, Roseanne released a statement saying she “regrets” that ABC canceled the series and killed her character in “an unnecessarily grim and morbid dimension to an otherwise happy family show.”
“The cancellation of Roseanne is an opportunity squandered due in equal parts to fear, hubris, and a refusal to forgive,” the statement continued.
In another interview, she said that she’d vow to stay away from the show for the sake of everyone. “I don’t want to be around, because I, you know, I’ll get drawn into a negative thing of defending myself or being angry for being mischaracterized,” she said.
