The incomparable Betty White received a standing ovation at the Emmy Awards during a segment honoring her 70-year-long career — as long as the Emmys themselves!

“I’m just gonna quit while I’m ahead,” joked Betty. “It’s incredible you can stay in a career this long and still have people put up with you. I wish they did that at home.”

With eight Emmys (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, and Hot in Cleveland), Betty is often referred to as the “First Lady of Television.”
