Kate Spade Fashion Show Beautifully Honors The Late Designer

The Kate Spade fashion show paid homage to the late designer who killed herself this summer. The tribute beautifully moved the audience, who were in attendance at New York Fashion Week.

A pink card was placed on guest’s chairs, reading: “She left a little sparkle everywhere she went,” a past-tense twist on a memorable quote by the late designer that referenced the essence of the Kate Spade woman. “In loving memory, 1962 – 2018” was inscribed on the reverse side.

“This collection has been given a lot of care, attention and love,” read the show notes written by Nicola Glass, Kate Spade’s new creative director who designed the brand’s first collection that was unveiled during the show.

The show was held at the NY Public Library. And boy was it spectacular.
