Prince’s family is suing the doctor who prescribed the singer pain pills, claiming that the doctor failed to treat him for opiate addiction and therefore bears responsibility for his death two years ago.

Page Six reports that Dr. Michael Schulenberg admitted prescribing oxycodone to Prince under his bodyguard’s name to protect Prince’s privacy, though Schulenberg has disputed that.

The lawsuit claims that Dr. Schulenberg among others had an opportunity before Prince died to diagnose his opioid addiction, but never did.
