A Church In Detroit Held A Vigil For Aretha Franklin

Aretha Franklin’s health is deteriorating quicker than many expected, which is why New Bethel Baptist Church, where her father was once a pastor, is holding a vigil to pray for the singer.

The vigil came the day after Stevie Wonder went to visit the Queen of Soul at her home.

A source told The Associated Press on Monday that the singer is ill. No more details were provided. The 76-year-old canceled planned concerts earlier this year after she was ordered by her doctor to stay off the road and rest.
