Margot Kidder’s Death Was Ruled a Suicide
Margot Kidder, the original Lois Lane in the Superman movies, killed herself last May, the coroner officially rules.
The coroner in Park County, Mont. said this week that Margot “died as a result of a self-inflicted drug and alcohol overdose.” Her daughter said she knew her mother died by suicide the moment authorities took her to Kidder’s home.
“It’s a big relief that the truth is out there,” her daughter, Maggie McGuane, said. “It’s important to be open and honest so there’s not a cloud of shame in dealing with this.”
