The Queen Gave A Nod to Barack Obama During Trump’s U.K. Visit
Queen Elizabeth can do anything she wants, practically, even give a nod to a former president when a current president is visiting!
The Queen chose an accessory with a hidden meaning when Trump was visiting. She wore the American State Visit Brooch, which was a gift from Barack Obama and Michelle Obama in 2011. The Obamas handpicked it specifically for her.
“In line with standard practice for guest of government visits the President was received by The Queen as Head of State. The arrangements were mutually agreed between the Palace and the U.K. and U.S. governments,” a spokesperson says of reports that Prince Charles and Camilla refused to take part because of Trump. “There was never a suggestion that other members of the royal family would take part.”
