Quentin Tarantino Is Blocking Sale of Weinstein Co. Till He Gets Paid $4M

Quentin Tarantino is reportedly blocking the sale of Weinstein Co. to Lantern Entertainment, demanding he needs to be paid $4 million in unpaid royalties from Weinstein Co.

The original sale of the bankrupt company was set at $310 million, then reduced to $287 million, but has yet to be approved by the bankruptcy judge.

The director claims he’s due the cash for “Django Unchained,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Hateful Eight” and “Grindhouse: Death Proof.”

Once good partners, Quentin told The New York Times of Harvey Weinstein: “I knew enough to do more than I did. There was more to it than just the normal rumors, the normal gossip. It wasn’t secondhand. I knew he did a couple of these things.”
