Cyndi Lauper is at the head of new research to uncover how state governments are really looking into youth homeless, particularly those who are LGBT.

A new report released by her True Colors Fund showed how each state holds up on providing services such as housing and mental health for homeless youth. The best rankings (states like Washington, Massachusetts, California, and Connecticut) showed to be less then 70 out of 100. That’s an F!

Included in how the fund looks into the research is whether states have mental health counseling and services aimed at transgender youth, including hormone therapy.
