Judd Apatow and fellow show runner Seth MacFarlane have condemned Fox News via several tweets this week. Now, the show runner of Modern Family is joining them — even though he also works for FOX, which is a bold move.

“Let me officially join Seth MacFarlane in saying I’m disgusted to work at a company that has anything whatsoever to do with Fox News. This bullshit is the opposite of what #Modern Family stands for,” Steve Levitan wrote.

Seth had come after anchor Tucker Carlson, who said on a recent broadcast that “if you’re looking to understand what’s actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they’re telling you on the big news stations.” Seth then replied, “In other words, don’t think critically, don’t consult multiple news sources, and in general, don’t use your brain.”

Seth ultimately donated $2 million to National Public Radio and $500,000 to L.A.’s NPR membership station, KPCC.

Then Steve went so far as to threaten leaving FOX.

Fox Studio has been a wonderful home for most of my career – so many amazing people there who share the concerns about @FoxNews but aren’t in the position to speak out.
