Kate Spade Foundation Is Giving A Million Dollars To Suicide Prevention
Kate Spade New York will be donating $1 million for suicide prevention efforts, weeks after the beloved American designer Kate Spade took her own life due to her struggles with depression.
To begin, the company said it’s giving $250,000 to the Crisis Text Line, a free, 24-hour confidential text message service for people in crisis. Additionally, it will match public donations made to the service from June 20 through June 29, up to an amount of $100,000.
The company is also hosting a Global Mental Health Awareness Day for employees.
RIP Kate.
