Anthony Bourdain’s body is stuck in France, which is putting his funeral plans on hold for the time being, according to The Post.

“They won’t be shipping his remains back for a couple of days because of formalities,” his mother said the paper. “Listen, I lived [in France] for five years — nothing is done quickly.”

She added that the funeral plans are in the hands of his ex wife, Ottavia Busia Bourdain, because she is legally still his next of kin. “Although they’re separated, she’ll be in charge of whatever happens,” his mom said. “We haven’t talked for a couple days. I’m sure she’s as broken up as I am.”
