It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since the death of Joan Rivers. Her daughter, Melissa, recently told People that her son Cooper is her greatest legacy.

“The best legacy that I can give my mother – that everyone can give their parent – is to raise a good and decent child,” she said. “One who gives back, and has a clear understanding of the understanding of not just being good, but doing good, as well. Cooper is my mom’s greatest legacy.”

“And I feel like our legacy is to live a life that you can be proud of on many levels,” she added. “Giving your best professionally and personally.”

As far as her own parenting: “I’ll say something, and as soon as the words come out of my mouth, I’m like, ‘Wow. I sound just like my mom!’” she quipped. “And then I hear my father coming out, too!”
