Hugh Jackman knows how to teach his kids the value of helping others. “My kids have so many advantages,” he told People magazine. “And I want them to know that they have a responsibility to use those advantages to help others.”

“But in terms of the world, we’re even more blessed,” he adds. “One out of six people doesn’t have clean drinking water. They can’t comprehend how we live.”

Hugh visited Ethiopia and met a young coffee farmer named Dukale, as People reports. Inspired by Dukale’s struggle to survive, Hugh founded Laughing Man Coffee. The brand, which uses the tagline “Make Every Cup Count,” has donated a large portion of sales to the Laughing Man Foundation, supporting coffee farming communities and programs by ensuring fair trade.

“Their poverty is something we can fix; that’s something we can feel,” he adds. “You have to feel something to fix it. You can’t just talk about the world’s problems occasionally and think, ‘Oh, it would be good to help.’ To really change the world, you have to feel it.”
