Christie’s Auction House Damaged Steve Whynn’s Picasso Painting

Apparently Steve Wynn is so pissed at Christie’s Auction House, who apparently pierced his $100 million Picasso masterpiece with a metal rod.

The painting was a 1943 Picasso self-portrait, “Le Marin,” and it was damaged while stored at the auction house when a metal extension pole for a wall paint roller allegedly fell on the canvas, creating a hole.

This isn’t the first time Steve has had bad luck with paintings. He’d previously punctured a hole in a Picasso masterpiece, Le Reve, in 2006 though it was patched and resold for $150 million in 2013.
