#MeToo’s Tarana Burke Straight Up Told A DJ To Turn Off R. Kelly Song
The creator of the #MeToo hashtag, activist Tarana Burke, was at a TV industry party in Harlem when the DJ began spinning R. Kelly’s song “Fiesta.”
“She told the DJ, ‘No R. Kelly!’ and shut it down,” a spy said, as Lupita Nyong’o and Tiffany Haddish mingled with other stars, reports Page Six.
Tarana is one of the leaders behind the #MuteRKelly hashtag, spawned from years of sexual assault allegations against the singer.
