George H.W. Bush Hospitalized With Blood Infection

The day after his wife, Barbara Bush’s, funeral, former president George H.W. Bush was hospitalized “after contracting an infection that spread to his blood,” a statement read.

The statement went on to say that Bush is “responding to treatments and appears to be recovering.”

Last January, George battled with pneumonia and repeated that battle three months later. He has also been suffering from vascular parkinsonism, which has required him to use a wheelchair for mobility since 2012.
