Charlie Rose is reportedly living a lonely life in exile at his $6 million Long Island mansion, says Page Six.

After eight women accused him of groping them as well as other acts of misconduct, the newsman was swiftly fired. And now, he “spends his days reading newspapers, playing tennis and dining alone at local eateries, according to the report,” the outlet writes.

A former colleague told Page Six, “He’s a broken, powerful, old man surrounded by people who love him, but the truth is, he is desperately lonely,” one former colleague tells the outlet.

Another source added, “My sense is that Charlie has put [book writing and planning his return to TV] aside for now,” they said. “I think he is focusing on trying to understand, [both] events and other people’s perception of them.”
