Wendy Williams Is Putting Herself First After Three Weeks Of Health Vacation

Hollywood Holler's Nikki Boyer on set with Wendy

After Wendy Williams rested for three weeks because of an overactive thyroid on top of Graves’ disease, she’s since told People magazine that she’s putting herself first.

“We, as women, particularly if — we have families, you know, we’re taking care of children, we’re taking care of, you know, home, our husbands, we take care of everybody but ourselves,” she said. “And it’s really unfortunate, and that – that is something that has no socioeconomic thing to it. No matter what – no matter what the woman’s status is, it seems like we’re all in the same boat. I’m not doing that anymore … Wendy first.”

“I had a storm going in my body is the best way I can explain it,” she said of her health issues. Wendy was diagnosed with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism 19 years ago, though that all came to ahead when she skipped her six-month endocrinology appointment last December, reports Page Six.

We’re happy you’re back live on The Wendy Williams show today, Wendy. See you tomorrow! We love you.
