Shia LaBeouf announced he’s playing his “law-breaking, alcohol-abusing” father in a movie based loosely on his life, reports Variety.

Honey Boy, Shia’s childhood nickname, centers on a popular child star who attempts to mend his relationship with his damaged father over the course of a decade. Manchester by the Sea’s Lucas Hedges will play the main Shia-based role opposite Shia. The film will be directed by Alma Har’el (Bombay Beach).

No release or production information on Honey Boy has been announced at this time, but it should pretty interesting indeed.
