The Next Bond Girl Is Going To Fit The #MeToo Era, Screenwriter Confirms

Danny Boyle confirmed he is working on the next James Bond movie, and says he is looking at the “modern world” unlike previous films, focusing on the #MeToo movement.

He was asked about writing under #MeToo and Time’s Up era, to which he said “You write in real time.” He also said an event: “You acknowledge the legacy of the world [of Bond] and you write in the world — but you also write in the modern world as well.”

The currently called Bond 25 will have Daniel Craig reprise the role. When asked if he is directing, “It all depends . . . I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment. We hope to start shooting that in six or seven weeks. Then, Bond would be right at the end of the year.”
