What a beautiful day in the neighborhood, for Tom Hanks!

The beloved actor will be playing Mister Rogers in an upcoming biopic called You Are My Friend, directed by Marielle Heller. The film is going to focus on the friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod, according to TriStar Pictures.

Production will begin in September, with a 2019 release expected.

Fred Rogers died in 2003 at the age of 74.
