Former Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney signed an NDA that keeps her from speaking out against Team USA doctor Larry Nassar, who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault.

McKayla won a gold medal as part of the “Fierce Five” team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and revealed last October that she’d been abused by the team doctor from 13 till she left the sport in 2016. She filed a lawsuit last December against the U.S. Olympic Committee, claiming that in a 2016 settlement she was “forced to agree to a nondisparagement clause and confidentiality provision,” which would fine her $100,000 if she spoke out about her abuser.

Now, Chrissy Teigen wants to rescue her.

“The entire principle of this should be fought,” Chrissy tweeted. “An NDA to stay quiet about this serial monster with over 140 accusers, but I would be absolutely honored to pay this fine for you, McKayla.”

McKayla reportedly received $1.25 million in the settlement and USA Gymnastics responded to her lawsuit, “Contrary to reports, the concept of confidentiality was initiated by McKayla’s attorney, not USA Gymnastics.”
