Roseanne Bar has admitted that her character on the revival of the hit show Roseanne will be a Trump supporter: “I’ve always attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people and of working class people. And in fact it was working class people who elected Trump,” Barr said Monday.

The family is also going to be divided in politics as well as extended — offering a “full cross-section of ideas and beliefs,” said executive producer Bruce Helford.

“People feel like they can’t disagree and still love each other and talk to each other. It’s a great thing to have a family divided by politics but still filled with love,” Sara Gilbert added.

“I’m not a Trump apologist,” Roseanne said to reporters. “There are a lot of things he’s said and done I don’t agree with, like there’s probably a lot of things Hillary Clinton has done and said that you don’t agree with. No one’s brainwashed into agreeing with 100 percent of what anybody says, let alone a politician or a candidate.”
