Gary Oldman Said Harvey Weinstein Gave Him The Creeps, Backstage At Golden Globes

Golden Globe winner Gary Oldman spoke to reporters backstage after winning his award for playing Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.

When the curtain came down on Harvey, I was flabbergasted and shocked,” he said. “Fortunately he was never in my orbit. We met in ’92. He gave me the creeps and I said ‘Let’s not work with that guy,’ and I never did.”

Oldman said the Time’s Up movement, which focuses on calling out sexual harassment and other abuses of power, is certainly historic: “A wheel is turning. It’s turning a notch in the evolutionary wheel. We’re still coming out of the mists of time.”
