Corey Feldman Is Fed Up Over Lack of Support In Wake Of Abuse Claims

Corey Feldman has been trying to wake up America for years about the issue of child molestation in Hollywood. His TV movie about the issue and his own life experiences will premiere on January 6 on Lifetime. He hopes it will raise awareness.

“People are finally listening and there’s a movement happening,” he told PEOPLE. “This is your chance for redemption, but also a chance to have justice served not only for Corey and I, but for the rest of the world. There are still kids out there who are being victimized.”

“I guarantee you that there were other kids that had these experiences. They need to stand up and use their voice,” he explained. “There are producers that know about things that happened on their sets, or agents who know things about their clients, and actresses and actors themselves—it’s time to use our voices.”

He adds that “everyone who has done physical harm” to him has been named so far.

He spoke of Corey Haim, saying, “He said, ‘I want my story to be told so if anything should ever happen to me, I want you to tell my story.’ I said to him, ‘Why don’t you just tell your story yourself?’” He said, ‘I’m afraid. I can’t do it. I’m not strong, but if I die, I want you to do it.’ A year later he died and I was faced with that certain truth.”
