Gwyneth Paltrow Has Reached Out To Other Weinstein Victims

Harvey Weinstein’s victims have been in the spotlight in the last several months, and have spearheaded incredible change and discussion about sexual harassment and assault.

Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that she rebuffed a proposition from Harvey for sex while she was working on the film Emma. According to The New York Times, Harvey “repeatedly boasted” that he slept with her for years to other actresses.

According to The Times, Gwyneth has started to connect with other victims in recent weeks. She described the phone calls as “devastating.”

She added, “He’s not the first person to lie about sleeping with someone, but he used the lie as an assault weapon.”

Weinstein’s attorneys, Berk and Brafman, said to People: “Mr. Weinstein has never at any time committed an act of sexual assault, and it is wrong and irresponsible to conflate claims of impolitic behavior or consensual sexual contact later regretted, with an untrue claim of criminal conduct. There is a wide canyon between mere allegation and truth, and we are confident that any sober calculation of the facts will prove no legal wrongdoing occurred. Nonetheless, to those offended by Mr. Weinstein’s behavior, he remains deeply apologetic.”
