‘CBS This Morning’ & ‘Good Morning America’ React To Matt Lauer’s Firing
If there’s one person in America who understand what Svannah Guthrie had to do this morning, it’s CBS This Morning’s Gayle King, who’s responded to the firing of Matt Lauer this morning on her show.
“I look at that picture and I have a sickening feeling of déjà vu,” she said. “Certainly because we’re dealing with our own situation here. It does send a message that you’re not too big to fall.”

Over at ABC on Good Morning America, Robin Roberts gave her views on the matter as well.
“I was really struck, guys, by Today having Savannah and Hoda having to report the story, and then it was with Charlie Rose, it was Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell having to report this, and how you could just tell that they are grappling with how this is somebody they have worked with,” she said while seated between her male co-anchors. “But they have all spoken about the bravery of their colleagues, those women.”
