‘Fresh Prince’ Creator & J.Lo’s Manager Benny Medina Accused of Sexual Misconduct
The inspiration behind the hit 1990s show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Benny Medina, has been accused by actor Jason Dottley of attacking him in 2008 and attempting to rape him.
Benny, who is now most famous for managing the career of Jennifer Lopez, denied the claim.
Allegedly, actor Jason Dottley told The Advocate that he met Benny at The Abbey when he was hanging with his friend, actor T. Ashanti Mozelle. Benny then invited the friends to his L.A. mansion where he then attempted to rape Jason in his bedroom while T. Ashanti was swimming in the pool.
“I’m having you,” he allegedly demanded as he forced Jason down. Jason says “he started to cry and beg Medina to stop. But the mogul allegedly wouldn’t stop and kept repeating, ‘I’m having you! Oh, I will have you…’”
“His forearm was bearing down on my neck so hard that I don’t know how much longer I would have remained conscious,” Jason said.
Jason then says that Benny texted him a couple days later when he say he and his ex-husband, Del Shores, walking in West Hollywood: “Is that the husband I have to have killed to have you?’” Jason replied telling Benny he was a “disgusting, horrible person and to not ever text me again.”
