Shameless star Ethan Cutkisky was arrested for an alleged DUI, and now his TV dad William H. Macy is speaking out in his defense.

“I love those guys,” he told TMZ about his TV family. “I worry about them. A young person growing up as an actor — Hollywood is tough on kids.”

Ethan was arrested yesterday in LA for allegedly driving under the influence. Burbank police pulled his car over as it was spotted straddling traffic lines. He supposedly admitted to smoking pot that night.

He was later released on $5,000 bail.
