After their 18-month long relationship, Mariah Carey and billionaire James Packer called it quits last year, and in a new interview with The Daily Mail he’s kinda pouring salt on an open wound.

“I was at a low point in my personal life,” he said about Maria. “Documenting the negotiations with my sister was taking longer than expected… She was kind, exciting and fun. Mariah is a woman of substance. She is very bright. But it was a mistake for her and a mistake for me.”

James gave Mariah a $10 million engagement ring before breaking up in October 2016. After they split, she demanded $50 million claiming he caused her distress.

He also spoke about his ex-wife Erica Packer: “It is my biggest regret that I let my marriage to Erica fail,” he confessed. “It is what it is and she is doing an incredible job with the kids and we are in a great place.”
