No one ever knows what’s going on behind the scenes at Dancing With the Stars. Apparently, Vanessa Lachey and her partner Maks Chmerkovsky hate each other, and are only pretending to like the other for the cameras. “They’re playing nice for the cameras but both are miserable paired with each other,” an insider told Us Weekly. “There is a lot of fighting going on behind the scenes.”

Maks didn’t perform on Monday night, and according to Us, he also refused to rehearse leading up to Monday’s show: “Their personalities are very similar so they disagree about everything. They refuse to give into one another.” The pair have been one of the best performers in the game so far. An ABC  spokesperson also told Page Six, “Maks and Vanessa are returning to rehearsals and will be dancing together on next week’s show.” If you look at their social media, however, they look like best friends!
