CBS fired a corporate lawyer after she took to social media saying she “wasn’t sympathetic” to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican gun-toters.”

Hayley Geftman-Gold was fired due to violating the network’s stands by expressing these views online. Before she was fired, she was a vice president and senior legal counsel at CBS in New York.

On Facebook, Hayley said had no hope that Republicans would take action if they didn’t do anything when children were murdered, an apparent reference to the Sandy Hook massacre.
