A new report is showing that Justin Timberlake is in final negotiations to perform at the Super Bowl LII halftime show next year, but nothing has been confirmed officially yet.

“No decisions have been made on the performer(s) and we are not going to speculate on particular artists,” a statement from the NFL said to Entertainment Tonight. “Along with Pepsi, we know that we will put on a spectacular show. When it is time to announce her name we will do it. Or his name. Or their names.”

A source close to Justin said that he’s close to finalizing the deal: “This is who they’ve wanted for a long time,” the source told ET. “He’s the guy.”

Let’s hope it doesn’t end tragically like his halftime show in 2004, when he “accidentally” pulled Janet Jackson’s top off to reveal a pastie.
