Stephen Curry’s Wife Bites Back After Trump Takes Back White House Invitation

After Donald Trump disinvited the Golden State Warriors to the White House over comments made by Stephen Curry, his wife, 28-year-old chef and cookbook writer Ayesha Curry, responded.

“Donate to earthquake relief here,” Ayesha wrote, choosing instead to use Trump’s spotlight to raise money for UNICEF following the earthquake in Mexico City.

Later, she followed up with another charity, the Hispanic Federation, seeking to support Hispanic families and strengthen communities by improving education, health, immigration, and more.

Of course, the reason why Trump rescinded his invitation in the first place was due to comments Stephen Curry made to reporters:

“You can talk about all the different personalities that have said things and done things — from Colin Kaepernick to what happened with Michael Bennett to all sorts of examples of what has gone on in our country that has led to change,” he said. “We’re all trying to do what we can using our platforms, using our opportunities to shed light on that. That’s kind of where I stand on that. I don’t think us going to the White House will miraculously make everything better, but this is my opportunity to voice that.”
