Say what you want about Sean Spicer (everyone else does), but there is only one person whose validation he requires: his former boss President Donald Trump. And he got it!
“He was very supportive,” Spicer told Good Morning America on his Emmy appearance. “He thought I did a great job. It was very reassuring.”
He added: “I feel very good with my image. I’m very happy with myself. I am able to go out and explain a lot of things now, but I’m not on a tour. I’m out having some fun.”
On his relationship with the press: “I’ve made mistakes. There’s no question, I think we all do. Some of them I’ve tried to own very publicly. And in some cases there were things that I did, until someone brought it up, I said, ‘Gosh, I didn’t realize that that was a mistake. I’m sorry about that.’”
