The Tonight Show was snubbed by the Emmys in a big way this year, so Jimmy Fallon chose not to make an appearance altogether. While other late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden and Seth Meyers (and of course, host Stephen Colbert) all showed up, Jimmy was nowhere to be found.

Instead, Jimmy was celebrating his birthday at the 1770 House in East Hampton, according to Page Six. 

“After a special dinner with his wife, [producer] Nancy Juvonen, Jimmy was presented with a candlelit, vanilla-and-chocolate ice cream birthday cake,” a source said.

We’re sure he was happier with the cake.
