Prince George Isn’t Allowed to Have a Best Friend While in School

The world gave a collective “Aww…” when 4-year-old Prince George started school last week at Thomas’s school in Battersea, London.

But apparently, the school is trying to make sure he doesn’t make a best friend there. Panelist Jane Moore recently spoke on Loose Women (which is basically the British version of The View), saying that she lives close to his school and revealed that Thomas’s policy discourages kids to have only one friend.

“There are signs everywhere saying ‘be kind’—that’s the ethos of the school,” Jane said, adding: “They don’t encourage you to have best friends.”

Basically, they don’t want anyone to feel left out, allowing kids to have multiple friends and show up at everyone’s birthday parties.

“There’s a policy that if your child is having a party—unless every child is invited—you don’t give out the invites in class,” Jane shared. “I think [it] is quite a good thing as you don’t feel excluded.”
